Sky News’ PR campaign to promote Peta Credlin’s special about Melbourne Premier Daniel Andrews is hitting a few snags.
Sky News has been sending out press releases to the media to promote Credlin’s special, where she promises to, “Explore the motivations, the myths and the mystery behind Victoria’s all-powerful Premier; his rise to prominence, his hard-left agenda and why Daniel Andrews has such a hold on the state.”
The presser sent out states that Andrews’, “Eight-year reign has been the worst in Victoria’s history: the inquiries and the judgments against his government, the crumbling health and ambulance system, the deaths, the crippling debt, and the broken promises.”
The special will appear on Sky News on Foxtel and Sky News Regional or stream on Flash. However, getting the special press hasn’t been seamless.
Media Diary reported that Nine’s The Age opted out of the opportunity to have a front-page ad promoting Credlin’s special. Despite the fact, Sky News was willing to pay a rumoured $15,000.
This is interesting, considering Nine’s 3AW has been running radio ads for Credlin’s special.
However, according to reports, the newspaper decided not to run the ads because it doesn’t like to promote competitors not because of any political leanings.
