It has been an odd year, but things are finally getting back to normal with restrictions easing and people slowly returning to their commutes.

However, the trends that began in lockdown are continuing with 2GB showing strong results and Ben Fordham continuing to reign supreme in Sydney.

The Sydney ratings saw Ben Fordham not just hold onto the number one spot, but kill it in the ratings. Still, there was a slight downturn in listeners overall for 2GB, though even with a drop, it’s clear people are tuning into talkback radio!

Meanwhile, ABC Sydney faced a slight decline but remained steady in number two. Though it’s worth noting, the hosts of ABC Breakfast With Wendy Harmer and Robbie Buck have announced they won’t be returning next year. Meanwhile, The Kyle & Jackie 0 Show continues to remain in third place.

Overall, 2GB was down by 0.7 per cent, and KIIS 106.5 remained the same, so perhaps the tides will turn again!

In Melbourne, the ratings stayed mostly consistent. The top three brekkie programs (3AW’s Ross and Russell; ABC Melbourne’s Sammy J, and GOLD 104.3’s Christian O’Connell) remained in their same prime spots. Though The Christian O’Connell Breakfast Show saw the biggest drop with -0.8.

In drive, 3AW saw a slight upswing in viewership and GOLD 104.3’s Gavin Miller gained some extra traction up by 0.4.

In Adelaide, 5MMM’s Roz, Ditto & Loz broke into the top 3 radio rankings and in drive NOVA’s Kate, Tim & Joel continues to win over listeners with a 1.0 rise.

Meanwhile, in Perth, ABC broke into the top 3 breakfast spot and NOVA continued to reign supreme overall, snagging top spot in both breakfast and drive.

Finally, in Brisbane, there was a shakeup!  97.3FM’s Will And Woody and TRIPLE M’s Molloy entered the top 3 in drive, knocking out both B105’s Carrie & Tommy and 4JJJ.

Read on for the rest of the results!
