OMD Brisbane’s managing director Julie Maher is leaving after five years at the helm to be replaced by Rob Swinton.
It has not been confirmed where the Smart founder Maher is going, with her LinkedIn profile today mysteriously reading “Gone fishing”.
The agency has recently picked up the Michael Hill and Gold Coast City Council business.
Swinton has been with the agency for 12 years, and has 17 years experience in media, including stints at George Patterson Bates, Clemenger BBDO and Zenith Media.
CEO Peter Horgan said: “Rob has been fundamental to the growth of OMD Brisbane over the last 5 years. With his strategic pedigree, enthusiasm for emerging channels, and management experience, Rob is the ideal candidate to take OMD Brisbane forward”.
On Maher he added: “Julie leaves with our deepest gratitude. She has been an invaluable member of the executive team over the last 5 years and we wish her all the best with her future endeavours”.
