With the festive season in full swing, Nine and Seven started to roll out their Christmas specials last night, but neither could trump the Sunday night current affairs line up.
Nine’s Christmas with the Australian Women’s Weekly reeled in 669,000 to score seventh on the ratings ladder, while Seven’s Christmas with the Stars attracted 580,000 to come in 13th.
But hey were still well-and-truly dominated by each station’s new bulletin and current affairs hits 60 Minutes and Sunday Night.
Seven News came in first with 1,045,000, followed by Nine News on 1,019,000.
60 Minutes scored third with 1,012,000, while Sunday Night came in fourth with 949,000.
They were followed by ABC’s Sunday news and A Manor Reborn, which brought in 861,000 and 733,000 respectively.
Seven took the highest daily share with 28.6%, followed by Nine on 25.2%, ABC on 21.1%, Ten on 18.8% and SBS on 6.3%.
