If you like playing with pets but don’t have one, you’ll be glad to hear that software company Reach-In has developed an online alternative. Called iPet Companion, the service is a collaboration with animal shelters that allows people to remotely play with cats and dogs via user controlled robotic toys displayed on a live webcam. The more you play the more likely you are to adopt – brilliant.
Fiat Create Hands-Free ‘Facebooking’ In Cars
Finally we have a way to fit more social media into our lives – whilst driving. Admittedly some people are already doing it but Fiat have come up with a much safer way. Called Fiat Social Drive, the feature is a voiced controlled car audio system that connects to the web and reads out content from your Facebook profile.
Nike Launch Accelerator Program To Help Innovate
Last week Nike announced the Nike + Accelerator program, a genius way to help continually innovate their rapidly expanding tech offerings such as the Nike Fuelband. The program is a collaboration with Techstars (an existing incubator program) that provides investment and mentorship to promising sports related tech startups that could be of use to Nike.

In the spirit of Christmas, Aussie digital strategist Julian Cole and a few industry mates have put together a little side project gift for the industry. Called Warm Wishes From Adland, the site takes the nastiest, troll comments from ad-blog sites around the world and presents them with a dash of Christmas cheer. Certainly warms ones cockles.
Twitter Powered Shirt Dispensing Billboard
Men’s clothing retailer Allen Solly has created a Twitter powered billboard that dispenses shirts. Each time participants tweeted the hashtag #RainingSolly, one of a number of shirts hanging on the billboard would be pushed a little closer until it finally fell to the ground. A leaderboard of sorts accompanied the billboard and if your tweet pushed a shirt over the edge, the shirt was yours.
